Mr. YaYa (No, I am NOT kidding!)

I could NOT pass this one up! With a name like YaYa! That is priceless. Anyway, I had a story in my head about bird watchers. Believe me when I tell you that I like birds. I know there are things about birds that would interest me for days, but I just don't have the time to watch them. But, I thought it would be fun if a couple of bird watchers communicated with a scammer. Especially bird watchers who own a business for bird watchers.

Characters
Scammer: Zaire YaYa
Me: Mr. Oliver Klozoff and wife Gladys

Here's our story...

Dear Mr. YaYa,

I'm sorry for the delay. My wife and I are VERY busy right now. It is starting to get warm in our part of the country and the bird migrations are going full-steam! You see, my wife and I are avid bird watchers. We have been cataloging different species all over the world. It's funny that you contacted me about this deal, because we are planning on coming to West Africa in 3 weeks to find and catalog any new species there too.

Wonderful!!!

I am happy to hear that the entire transaction shouldn't take more than 48 hours, because any delay would be very bad for our itinerary.

So, you needed 2 things from me...
-------------------------------------
1. What will be your perecentage, if you assist in receiving the payment in your country...
Answer: My wife and I are not greedy. I think 30% should do nicely.

2. You will participate with me for the expense that will occur during the time of the transaction...
Answer: That should not be a problem as long as it does not exceed $75,000.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Oliver

Retiring to the Czech Republic or the Ukraine. How wonderful! I've heard that the weather is magnificent this time of the year. It's funny, people always say you should retire to the Carribbean or the South of France. Oh, sure beaches are nice, but who needs the sand and bathing suits!

To be honest, Gladys and I are thinking about using this money to retire to Africa. We dream of finding the rare 'African Abyssinian Rose-ringed Dingbat Parakeet'. I'm sure you have heard of that one because it practically puts Africa on the map! If Gladys and I can find that bird, we will be able to name our price!!!

Please prepare the necessary paperwork. We will be ready on our end. Here is the information you requested:

Subject: Re: CONTACT THE BANK NOW

Dear Mr. YoYo,

I have sent the application to the bank. I do believe we are well on our way to completing our brotherly handshake of money transference. I must say that this is EXTREMELY exciting! I positively feel ALIVE!

I haven't felt this way since Gladys and I were in Indonesia. We were visiting the Kai Islands in Indonesia when we found a 'Red-cheeked Dork Stinker' (which is part of the 'Grote Roodwangpapegaai' family). I'm sure you are aware of it. We also cataloged a 'Rose-breasted Rump Bumper Cockatoo'. This was truly a rare find. We were able to safely capture it and we brought it back to the states. Many zoo's were asking us to donate it to their facilities, but we decided to sell the bird to a private collector for the sum of $725,000. Not bad for a hobby!!

You mentioned that there will, most likely, be more legal paperwork required to complete this transaction. Can you give me an idea of how much longer this will take?

I only ask because Gladys is looking into purchasing a new, shoulder-mounted net launcher to help us (humanely) capture larger birds for our collection. To be honest, I believe she is going a little money "crazy". She is looking at high-powered telescopes, military-grade binoculars, camouflage huts with built-in video surveillance gear. She's even thinking of purchasing a new Buick LeSabre!! She's going CRAZY!!!

I feel the sooner we can complete this process, the sooner we can go back to our lives and plan on retiring in West Africa. Not to mention, you can go back to your life and move to the Czech Republic and live happily ever after. Believe me when I say that you deserve it!

You have been so honest and good. I want only the best for you. Perhaps, if we find another 'Red-cheeked Dork Stinker', I'll send it to you and your family. They are VERY intelligent and can even speak. Of course, the one problem with this particular breed is that they do tend to have high occurrence of flattulence (they fart a lot). Of course, the smell is dictated by their diet. If you feed them high quality bird feed, the smell can be quite tolerable. But, I digress...

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you again.

Sincerely,

Oliver

Mr. YoYo,

Wonderful news!!! Gladys spotted a 'Blue-faced Booby' yesterday. It is a very keen bird from the 'S. dactylatra' family. She is very excited and practically fell off of her folding stool. I hope the photo comes out because I would love to send it to you. Oh well, time will tell.

On to bigger and better things...

I wanted to thank you for the photo of yourself. Is that your lovely wife in the second one? Please tell her we said "Hello". I can tell by your picture that you are an avid bird watcher too. It's the narrow-set eyes - PERFECT for using binoculars! Gladys has eyes so close together she has a SINGLE eyebrow (In the US, we call it an 'uni-brow' or 'forhead caterpillar'). Lovely!

Oh, I was contacted by the bank this morning and they are requesting some legal documentation that I have no idea where to find them. I'm beginning to feel that I am way over my head! Don't get me wrong. I told you that I would help you and I intend on staying true to my word.

They have asked for the following:

1. Deposit Certificate
2. Completed Application for Claim
3. Affidavit of Claim (from the Hight Court of Togo)
4. Letter of Administration (from the Hight Court of Togo)

I do hope that you can get these documents, because I am positively 'bamboozled' by what they mean or do.

Please try to do WHATEVER you can on your end to get this transaction completed. I believe Gladys is progressing into a money FRENZY. Last night she was looking at VERY expensive automobiles and houses. I even heard her mumble something about purchasing HORSES!!! This poor woman has NEVER touched a horse!!

Good Lord, she just walked by talking to her friend about purchasing her very-own hot-pink hot-air BALLOON!!! She said she could get a "bird's-eye" view of "her" feathered friends!!!

Please hurry, or I'm afraid she may just go over the deep end!

Sincerely,

Oliver

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

My name is Oliver R. Klozoff. You were referred to my by a close personal friend who must remain nameless.

It seems that I am in a bit of a pinch. You see, I am the cousin of the late Mr. Scipa A. Kasper. It seems that he died after a brief kidney failure and has left a sizeable sum of money in the Union Togolaise de Banque.

Here is where the pinch comes in. I have completed many of the steps required to have this money released to me, but the bank (banque) is looking for a few more documents to complete the transaction.

Here is a list of the items I need:

1. Deposit Certificate
2. Affidavit of Claim (From the Hight Court of Togo)
3. Letter of Administration. ( From the Hight Court of Togo

Could you please look into this for me? I do appreciate your help.

Could you also give me a timeframe on the completion of this?

You see my wife and I are looking forward to coming to Africa for our retirement to study and catalog the bird population. Our hope is to find the 'Bent-beak Stump-humper' and the 'Red-cheeked Pimple-pusher'. If we can find those birds, our collection will be almost complete.

Why not move up our plans!?!

Dear Mr. YoYo,

I am deeply touched by your upgrade. To be honest, I can't remember ever being upgraded in my life. I must say that I find it to be very stimulating.

Do not get me wrong, this stimulation is nothing compared to when Gladys and I were backpacking the Himalayas in 1999. We were on our 15th day when we came across a small "google" (that's what the Himalayans call them) of birds. After closer inspection we found 3 'Red-legged Zit-faced Blue-bellies' and 14 'Rainbow Bug-eyed Bugle-blowers'. It WAS spectacular!

Unfortunately, when we tried to get closer, Gladys lost her footing and fell on our Sherpa. He was an elderly man of 78 (but surprisingly strong for his age). She landed on top of him and hit him in the head with her binoculars. Of course, this rendered the poor man unconscious (fortunately, it did not spook the birds). Since he looked so peaceful "sleeping", we decided to leave the poor chap there to rest while we got closer to the birds. By the time we got back, it appeared that someone (or something) had killed him because there was a pool of blood and you could see where the poor man was dragged into the underbrush.

Needless to say, Gladys and I considered ourselves lucky and decided to flee the country. We have never gone back.

Oh well, back to business...

I was contacted by Mr. Lawal concerning the legal aspects of this transaction. It appears that it will cost $1,200 to secure his services. It seems that a majority of this cost is because we are not physically located in Africa. Gladys and I talked for quite some time and we think we might "move up" our plans and move to Africa sooner rather than later!

I believe we can be packed and ready to move by Monday! It's terribly EXCITING!! We are absolutely AFLUTTER!!

The legal costs are fine, but it does seem ridiculous to have this poor man do so much for us when we are planning on moving anyway. This will simply help expedite the process.

What do you think?

Sincerely,

Oliver

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. I am sure a man of your stature must be terribly busy.

Everything you have outlined sounds very reasonable. We are confident that you are the man for the job.

However, it appears that much of the cost for your services is due to the fact that we do not reside in Togo. I don't believe you know this, but it's always been our dream to live in Africa, so we have decided to accelerate our plans and move early next week!

To be honest, we have been packed for quite some time, but have always found an excuse for not physically moving. Our first excuse was that we have not fully cataloged all of the birds in North America. Then, Gladys was concerned that she would not be able to get her favorite candybar in Africa. Much of the remaining time, we have simply been too busy.

Now that this opportunity has presented itself, we feel it is the "spark" to get the fire lit. So, we have contacted our moving company and will be moving next Monday or Tuesday.

Please take a look at your legal fees and let me know what the revised cost will be when we arrive. I'm sure they will be greatly reduced since Gladys and I will be able to be present for the transaction.

Sincerely,

Oliver

Subject: THANK YOU

Dear Oliver,

Thank you for your email.

Infact am happy when i heard you said that you are coming down to africa with your wife gladys, that sound so exciting to me and i really appreciate it so much.

I must confess that you are a very serious person and from your email i have gained assurance that you are 100% with me in this transaction.

On the other side, i want you to understand that this a fund that we are about to claim and none of us is the true next of kin to the deceased so i don't think it is adviseable to let a brother like you jump into such conclusion of coming for the claim yourself. 1200dollars is not enough reason to take such risk because if you have to be here yourself the bank might need some information which you will not be able to provide without my aid as you are not the true next of kin to Mr Scipa so i want the claim to be done first and the fund credited .

All you need to do now is to proceed with the senior advocate and do what he ask you to do so that by tuesday everything will be done and then if you like to come down here there will be no problem but for now immediately you recieve this message don't hesistate to do what i ask you to do,go and make the payment so that he will proceed with the procurement of this documents.

Please don't let this fees stop us from accomplishing this big deal.

Waiting for your soonest response.

Zaire Yaya.

Dear Mr. YoYo,

Oh, it has been a VERY busy weekend! Gladys and I have been to Boston and surrounding areas getting our moving specifics finalized. It has been quite exhausting. We visited our lawyer to have the proper Visa's and legal documentation finalized so we can legally enter your country. We have been to the International Moving Company who will be transporting our belongings to Africa. Most exciting indeed!

I was, however, quite upset by your last e-mail message. I was under the impression that the particulars for the transaction were to be handled by the Senior Advocate you recommended. You did say that he was quite qualified and good. Now, you mention that there may be risks and there might be additional legal documentation that I will be required to submit. This has truly deflated the donkey (to coin a term).

We have spent a tremendous amount of time planning and getting everything ready for the move Tuesday. We have told our children that we are leaving. We even gave them our prized possession - Philip. He is our 'Yellow-beaked Double-breasted Rump-Shaker with red plumage'. He is quite-literally a one-of-a-kind. He has a vocabulary of over 400 words and can actually dial the telephone (I have some FANTASTIC stories to tell you over dinner and tea)!

Now, you are telling us that we should not continue our move. Things are already in motion! I suppose that I can postpone some of our plans, but I'm sure there will be significant costs involved. I would prefer to see what the cost difference with Gladys and I physically located in Africa before I postpone anything. I'm sure there will be a significant discount with Mr. Lawyer (the Senior Advocate) if we are there in the court.

If I do not hear from Mr. Lawyer Monday, I will have to continue with the move.

I do apologize for the difficulty, but considering the fact that Gladys and I were planning on retiring, we might as well strike while the iron is hot!

We look forward to hearing from you (and Mr. Lawyer).

Sincerely,

Oliver

Dear Oliver,

Thank you for your email .

Regarding to your message , i apologise for the inconvinences but i had to let you know the formation of things as we are more like a brother and i have to guarantee your safety because if anything goes wrong on your side definately i will affect my side also.

In anycase , If you insist on coming, i will welcome you but the most important thing is that we put up this claim before you arrive so that once you come down to Togo you will only have to be in the Bank for the fund transfer to your account as you said that you will wish to relocate here in Africa that means you will come forward at the bank and let them know where you wish the fund to be transferred to but as i said it is important that you contact the attorney and let him proceed for the claim as i do not want you to go the Ministry of justice with the attorney for this claim .

I shall wait to hear from you as soon as the attorney gets in touch with you.

Best regards,

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

Thank you so much for getting back to me in such a timely fashion. I do, however, have a few tribulations pertaining to your most recent reply.

In your first message to me, you stated that the total cost to me would be $1,200. This fee was based on the assumption that it was going to require more "work" on your part because Gladys and I were not physically there to receive the legal documents required for this transaction.

Now, you are telling me that the cost will increase $700 because we ARE there? Sir, I believe you are giving me the royal "Rump Shaker Gimme-Spank"! How can you justify the cost difference?

I can see the costs outlined in your message, but I cannot fathom how you can justify charging MORE for you to do LESS work.

I know that Mr. YoYo has given you high marks, however, I am taken aback by your figures and must question your motives. Your closing remarks state that you wish to serve me better, yet I believe you are simply serving me a helping of boiled cabbage with onions, parsley, basil and a hint of pepper. And I don't like that!

Believe me when I tell you that I am going to ask Mr. YoYo to look into your business and possibly look for a different Senior Advisor unless you can show me how you can charge more with us there.

Good Day,

Oliver

Mr. YoYo,

I'm sorry to bother you with this...especially since we are now brothers. But, I received a message from Mr. Lawyer our Senior Advisor.

I had asked him to give me a revised quote for his services with Gladys and I physically located in Africa to receive the money. To be honest, I had expected the costs to be significantly reduced since he was not going to have to do as much work.

Well, let me tell you that I was horribly wrong on this!!! It appears that our "Senior Advisor" is attempting to get an ADDITIONAL $700 for him to physically do less work!

As you can imagine, I have responded in a very harsh tone asking for him to justify the increased costs. I must tell you that Gladys is "fit-to-be-tied" and has been throwing many of our belongings out of the windows cursing his name. She has even gone so far as to ask for him to be fired!

I know you approve of Mr. Lawyer and consider him to be an honest man, however, I cannot ascertain how he can justify charging more for performing fewer duties.

I believe it will be up to you to remedy this situation and find out what is going on. We are scheduled to leave tomorrow evening and now I am forced to put our plans on hold until Thursday.

This is getting quite tiresome and expensive.

Please help,

Oliver

Subject: MY BEST ADVICE

Dear Oliver,

Thank you for your email.

Regarding your message this evening, you are saying that the cost of the documents is much for you to pay but then what are we going to do becuase this is the only advocate i know that will help us make things to be easy for us.

Any way we have no time to waste hence the bank is waiting for us to come along with the documents for them to proceed with the transaction, my own suggestion is that we can put heads together to sort this things out instead of debating on this issue of being cost or not being cost because what we are about to achieve is more higher than what we are going to spend as an expense.

if you can't be able to pay all to the advocate then you can still go ahead and pay him the one you have and tell him that before he finish procuring the documents that you will balance him the rest and i know for sure he will accept that cos every body know the situation of things now that is not easy in any where now.

Please my brother, i don't wan't anything to stop us, not when we have come to the finalization of this fund, just pay him that consultation fee in other to put him in motion of procuring this documents then on how to balance him will not be a problem but remember there is nothing you spend in this transaction that is waste every money you spend will be given to you back during the time of sharing this fund.

I don't wan't us to keep the bank waiting rather let us finalise this transaction this week before it get too late because i don't want the bank to start suspecting anything concerning this transaction so please and please make sure that today you send to the attorney the consultation fee atleast that one let him start the proceedure of this documents .

Waiting for your soonest response once you contact the Advocate.

Best Regard
Zaire Yaya.

Subject: Re: MY BEST ADVICE

Mr. YoYo,

I did not say that the cost was too much. That is not the point here.

You see, this reminds me of a trip Gladys and I took to the Mediterranean. We had planned the trip for over a year. We were very excited because we heard that the group before us had found a "flickle" of "Pink-bellied Hip-hoppers" and even saw a "Spanish Round-neck Loogie-spitter". We were very excited and had everything ready to go. The company we were using said that the charge was going to be $1599 for 2 weeks. This included the binoculars, transportation, special camouflage jackets, two-way radios, film, folding bicycles, folding chairs, tents, umbrellas (for the rainy days), backpacks with lots of pockets and buttons and zippers, bottled water, raisins, bread, cheeses, wine, other snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, music (they had wonderful MP3 players), hand-held computers, bird identification books, pencils, paper, sunglasses, and shoe laces.

Well, Gladys and I have our own, custom-made binoculars with embroidered shoulder straps (they are quite lovely). We told them that we didn't need the binoculars. Well, you would have thought we said that birds are nothing more than warm-blooded lizards. They completely lost their minds! They told us that their binoculars were superior to ours and we would be "fools" for not using them.

As you can understand, we sent them the specifications of our optics and photos of our embroidered shoulder straps. When they saw how beautiful the shoulder straps were, they asked us for the name of the person who made ours. They promptly contacted our friends and made a very lucrative business deal that is still in effect to this day.

So you see, the way the Senior Advocate is trying to charge us an extra $700 is completely unfounded and unfair. I am simply asking him to justify the additional costs.

I'm sure you understand how postponing our EXCITING move is costing us a tremendous amount of money and grief. We have been sitting on the cardboard boxes crying because everything is "on hold". We don't even have tissue because I packed it in a box that is now on the bottom of the pile.

I do consider you my brother. Gladys considers you her brother. Our kids consider you their uncle. Our kids, children consider you their "great" uncle. Glady's mother considers you to be her "alternate" son-in-law. My step-brother considers you to be his other step-brother. So, you see, you are "family".

And since you are now my brother, I need you to stand beside me in a fight, just like I would stand by you (if you were to get in a fight). Your support in this makes me feel very good. It truly makes me feel good about this situation knowing that you are on my side. Once the Senior Advocate lowers his rates taking into account that Gladys and I are in Africa, we will be ready to go.

Thanks again,

Oliver

Ok now i wan't you to write to the senior advocate and let him know how much you wan't to spend in procuring this documents may be he will do one or two things to reduce his charge for you so that we will be able to move forward to conclude this transaction.

Immediately you recieve this mail don't hesistate to tell him how much you will paid him for this documents, atleast talk to him in a good manner and convince him to see reason with you by then you send to him the one you can be able to pay now and that will make everything have good shape.

Dear Mr. YoYo,

I was not aware that this Senior Advisor was so flexible with his rate. If I had known that, I would have simply asked for a 20% reduction and we would be much farther along.

I want you to know that I am not cheap. I am not someone who is simply trying to get "something" for "nothing". That is not the case. My issue with Mr. Lawyer was simply principal.

Now, that we have that "squared" away, I am quite excited again and have the full spring in my step. I feel positively flamboyant!

This reminds me of the time that Gladys and I were in Burma. We were tracking the elusive "White-crested Laughingtush fart-blower". I'm not sure if you are familiar with this fugacious feathered fowl, but he is a most tricky fellow. They have the ability to "throw" their voice like a ventriloquist and throw rocks at you from very long distances. Quite accurate too - I might add. After 4 days tracking this bird, we finally figured out his "pattern" and cornered him on a 277-foot cliff. Please believe me when I tell you that we meant him no harm. We simply wanted to take his photo and leave. When I snapped the picture, the flash momentarily blinded the poor fellow and he fell off of the cliff to his death (the laughingtush fart-blower is quite large and cannot fly).

I could hear his scream as if he were standing right next to me (they are quite gifted ventriloquists). We were devastated because this particular species is almost extinct...

But, we got a splendid photo!

I look forward to showing you our scrapbook when we arrive. If everything works out with the Senior Advocate, I believe that we will be in Africa no later than next Tuesday. Please make reservations at your favorite restaraunt for Wednesday the 24th. It will be our treat.

Anyway, I will contact Mr. Lawyer and let him know what I believe is an honest rate for his services. Once that is complete, we should be well on our way.

Sincerely,

Oliver

Please try as much as possible to see that you sort out things normally with the senior advocate cos by now we suppose to submit that documents to the bank because they are waiting and we don't need to keep them waiting, all you have to do that now my dear brother if you can hear my voice now, when you conclude the prize with the advocate don't let him made you pay in ration in what ever prize that you people agree together pay him completely so that you will be waiting for the date he will conclude the documents.

You might not know why i say that you must not pay him in ration is for the betterment of this transaction so that you will be plain in whatever you are doing with him cos the more you pay him by ration is when he will be telling you how things change and not being the way he thought them to be.

But if you paid him completely such time will not occur i hope you will see reason with me.

waiting for your soonest response.

Zaire yaya

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

You are CORRECT! This morning IS beautiful! Gladys and I saw a new bird this morning right outside our window. It was priceless!!! We checked our book and we believe it's the 'Red-headed Screeching Misfit'! Quite lovely. You see, we changed our bird feed to be a little more exotic. We have added bits of beef jerky and ham. You would NOT believe how many birds we have now.

We currently have....wait a tic....1...2...3...just a bit more...46 birds in our back yard!!! Isn't that wonderful!?! I'll have to take a picture and send it to our good friend Nigel in the UK!

As for your consultation fee, I sent Gladys to the Moneygram office yesterday. I was told that they are quite trustworthy and efficient.

She returned in the afternoon and said that you can pick up the money anytime you wish.

Please let me know if there are any issues with the legal documents you are picking up today.

Sincerely,

Oliver

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

I'm dreadfully sorry! Gladys didn't mention anything about a "deposit slip" or anything. She just said that she transferred the money.

I'm afraid that I cannot get the receipt until Sunday. You see, Gladys has gone to Vermont to visit with one of her dear friends. They are planning on going out to "watch" some birds. Of course she's not fooling me! Every time she and Margaret get together, they sit around and drink wine spritzers all day and get "pie-eyed". Then around 9:00pm, they get dressed up and go to local raves.

One time, about 3 years ago, they got together and went on a 5-day "bender". They were SO "blootered" they woke up in the back of a CANADIAN cab in Southern New Jersey! The back seat was covered in packing styrofoam peanuts, the cabbie was completely passed-out wearing a Superman costume and there was a sheep in the passenger seat wearing a lacy, black brassiere, lipstick and sunglasses!

The cabbie told them that he'd never had such a wonderful time and didn't charge them the $7,412 on the meter.

We got quite a chuckle over that one.

Anyway, I was able to get in touch with her and she gave me the information over the phone.

I do apologize again for this delay. As you know, we are waiting anxiously to complete our move too.

Subject: I UP GRADE YOU AGAIN.

Dear Oliver,

Thank you so much for your email.

I was out of town yesterday to see my cousin and i came back this morning and saw your message, infact am estatic for the grate work you have done, once again i upgrade you because this shows me that i have nothing to worry about knowing for sure that God have finally sent an angel to help me to actualise this grate dream.

Now we have come to this level i only wan't you to finalise with the senior advocate so that by monday we will submit the documents to the bank so that the will start processing the transaction because the board directors last meeting the concluded that all the international transfer that will be made will commence next week that any beneficiary that didn't submit his/her transfer documents will be extended till further notice.

So do what you have to do to see that you conclude everything with the senior advocate this week so that he can be able to procure the documents latest tomorrow and make sure you paid him completely so that there will be no delay because if you paid him all his money by now am sure he have the documents ready but he will not tell you untill when you finish paying him his charge i know their ways cos i don't wan't anything to stop us from submitting this documents to the bank latest tuesday and when that one is achieved then we can celebrant because submitting the documents to the bank is the enssence of our deal without that all we have been doing have no meaning.

My brother,my people used to say that anything that remain 2 remain 1 but anything that remain 1 is finish.
as you can see we are progressing, with this hand by thursday we will be talking about how to split the money, all you have to do now is to be contacting the senior advocate don't give him breathing space so that he will conclude everything with you as fast as anything fast can be.

Waiting for your soonest response

Best Regard
Zaire yaya.

Dear YoYo,

Thank you so much for the second upgrade. I am flushed with excitement. I believe I have actually "wet" myself with so much excitement!

I received a message from the Senior Advocate this morning and it appears that either Gladys gave me incorrect information or perhaps, I misunderstood something. Either way you have nothing to fear my friend. I will find out what happened. I'm sure it was a simple mistake.

I am VERY happy to hear that we will be splitting the money by Thursday of next week. I believe I will contact the moving company today and set a time to start our move Monday. Gladys will be ecstatic!

Since you have found our little enterprise SO interesting, I believe I can tell you the other good news... I was contacted by a friend of mine in New Mexico. He believes he found a bird that was considered EXTINCT!!! It is the 'North American Red-cheeked Absidian Bouncing Wingnut'!!! Can you believe it!?! I can't!! He was able to take a photo of the bird (from quite a distance), and has sent it to the United States Bird Identification Repatriation Department (US BIRD) in Washington DC.

It's all very exciting.

Please give our best to your wife and family,

Oliver

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

I am so sorry!!! Please believe me when I say that I had no intentions laying down your personality. I'm sure it is a simple mistake.

Please remember, that I spoke to Gladys over the telephone when she gave me the Moneygram details. I'm sure it was my fault - please don't blame her. Also remember that she has the receipt and is currently with her friend Margaret in Vermont. She won't return until Sunday evening.

I also want you to know how concerned I am about this. As you know, Gladys and I are waiting to move to Africa and cannot do so until this transaction is complete. We DESPERATELY want this transaction finalized so we can begin our retirement in earnest.

I contacted her as soon as I read your message. I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that she and Margaret are having a wonderful time catching up! Of course I could tell how inebriated she was by the way she was slurring my name. I told her how serious this mix-up was, but she kept telling me how much she loves me, and how she can't believe she's not sick of me yet (she's so cute - I wish I could nibble on her ear right now). She also calls me "Poopsy" when she's intoxicated.

Anyway, during our conversation I believe I've found the error (Please remember that she was intoxicated when I spoke to her, but I'm pretty confident in the results).

Here is what you need:

Please let me know when the final legal documents are completed. I am planning on contacting the moving company to schedule the move for Monday.

Thanks ever so much,

Dear Oliver,

Thank you so much for your Email.

I must say that you are really a brother for doing all this things with your Godly mind which is very hard to see easily in our society today but thank God who provide such a man like you with tender hearted you are following my instructions, that gives me another joy i must say am grateful for having someone like you as a brother.

Another input in this transaction is that you will try as much as possible to see that you submit those documents to the bank latest on tuesday and make sure that you pursade the senior advocate for him to round up whatever thing he is doing, becaue we have to do what we can to see that we submit the documents to the bank cos there is no time again to waste is only 2 working days we have, please (mr oliver ) don't let our effort to be invain because if will fail to submit those documents in this 2 working days our effort will be extended till further notice which you and i, don't know when it will be resume.

I know i can count on you because you have already made me to know that you are capable to proceed with me in this transaction to the end, so this is what we have to do now cos am here to monitor everything that is going on in this transaction so any information that you recieve from me don't joke with it, is pure and will be executed as you heard it from me.

Waiting for your response.

Best Regard

Mr. Lawyer,

Clearly you are not reading my messages! I have told you REPEATEDLY that Gladys has the receipt. I have also told you REPEATEDLY that she is currently in VERMONT visiting a friend!

In other words I CANNOT GET THE RECEIPT UNTIL SUNDAY!!!

I have tried several times to get you the money transfer detail. I am SORRY that it has been incorrect. However, it is not because I am trying to lay down your personality!

I would like to call you right now and give you a 'PIECE OF MY MIND'. However, Gladys and I do not have a phone that can call out of the country without incurring a substantial bill. I would prefer that you call me. You are a lawyer and surely have the setup to do so. As you already know, my number is 206-202-4392.

I must say that I am rather upset by your tone and accusations. So much so, I am unlikely to send you the information unless you apologize to me.

Good day,

My good friend,i wil say that i owns you no apology because if you were in my shoe you will do de same thing, this is my first experince to withness this kind of thing and i never believe that somebody like you can do such a thing, how can i be doing that kind of job for you and you will send your wife to come and send money to me is unfair you have to go down to the moneygram office and make the payment by yourself and not sending an errand for it,by that way there will be no mistake but now see what i have suffered at the moneygram office.

You called me to do a job for you,i dont know why you want me to beg you before you send my money to me,if you want me to procure this documents which i have already finish doing only waiting for you to give me my money then you recieve your documents.

Am waiting for it on that sunday, please instead of you to send invalid payment slip is better that you dont send at all but if you really mean to do business with me then i will give you my best service.

I have NEVER been so INSULTED in my entire life! Don't you dare tell me how I would do business in this situation. Now, you have insulted my WIFE!! You have basically said that my wife is incapable of completing a money transfer.

I can assure you that I have been doing business for quite some time now and I have NEVER treated a customer as poorly as you have done with me and my wife now. I don't care who you are or what you do!

I now expect you to apologize to ME AND my WIFE!!!! If not, I don't care when or if the documents get filed!

I am thoroughly DISGUSTED in your LACK of professionalism!

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I am NOT happy with your Senior Advocate. He has not been reading my messages thoroughly and is now calling me a liar. He has even gone so far as to tell me that Gladys is incompetent.

I am VERY close to firing him and hiring a different Senior Advocate! I know we are under a tight timeframe, but he has questioned my good name and my wife's good name, and I will NOT stand for it.

I'm sorry, but if he does not apologize to us, I will be forced to fire him.

Subject: Thank you for your apology...

Dear Mr. Lawyer,

I commend you on your apology. I know it must have been difficult, yet rewarding. Believe me when I say that I understand your frustration. Gladys and I have had our share of frustrating moments too.

During one of our trips to find the elusive 'Red-cheeked Red-legged Rock-pooper' in Stanwick, Northamptonshire, UK. We were told that this particular breed could be found in abundance during that time of year. Well, to make a long story short, we waited over 9 days to see this wonderful species. Oh, we saw the 'Pink-face Booby', the 'Blue-stocking Nest-jumper', the 'Bug-eyed Bugle-blower', and even saw the 'Plaid Sap-spitting Whistler'.

Well as you can imagine, we were quite disgruntled because we spent a TREMENDOUS amount of money and time to get photos of this bird. We were even hoping to observe its mating ritual which includes the pair hopping in concentric circles for (up to) 3 hours only to have the female fall over and play dead while the male goes to get help. It's quite fascinating.

But, even though we were disgruntled and disappointed and disenfranchised, we never gave our hosts a verbal "rundown". That is something we pride ourselves on. I hope you have learned a valuable lesson.

Anyway, as I have promised, I am including the scanned receipt with this message. You may take this to your local Moneygram office and retrieve the money.

Please let me know when the paperwork is completed and the transfer can commence. As you know, Gladys and I are eager to begin our move to Africa.

Sincerely,

Oliver
